Moe Hawa - Founder and President of STA

moe

Moe has been cutting keys for over 30 years. He knows keys. He knows key profiles. He knows manufacturers. For the last 16 years Moe owned and operated the Secure-T-Centre, a locksmith shop in the Eaton's Center in Montreal. There he specialized in servicing many of the downtown core's major businesses such as Ivanhoe/Cambridge (the administrator), Laurentien Bank, Kitco, Super Sexe, the Money Exchange and the law firm of Ogilvy-Renault.

To these businesses he supplied high security master key systems, keys-by-code, filing cabinet keys for domestic and imported locks, as well as access controls and video surveillance systems. Moe became an authority on key cutting and hard-to-find key blanks.

After 16 years Moe sold the store and began embarking on a new idea: supplying locksmiths with an affordable tool to improve their bottom line by bringing the customer back to the locksmith instead of amateurs. This is what STA (Secure-T-Agency) is all about.

Ed Deigan - Vice-President for the Maritimes and Québec

A locksmith for over 35 years, Ed worked at companies such as A1 NATIONALE where he was the counter locksmith and key cutter, RONALD C. LISTER where he was in charge of designing and implementing master key systems in regular and high security locks, KEYWEST Locksmiths (Cote St Luc), where he managed and operated the business, and DOORCORP where he designed and implemented all the master key systems of as well as being the installations trouble shooter.

A few of the projects he worked on were Bibliotheque et Archives Nationales du Quebec, Medisys, CNR, (Canadian National Railroad), Aldo warehouse, Via Rail and XTL trucking.

Moe convinced Ed to come out his retirement to work with STA after explaining his idea.
